Inaugural UCL CLOE - IHA joint symposium

We are excited to announce the first CLOE - IHA Joint Symposium, titled "The Origins and Evolution of Ageing” on 21st September 2023. The symposium will begin in the afternoon from 2:30 pm and will be followed by drinks.

Venue: Gavin De Beer Lecture Theatre, Anatomy Building, Gower Street, WCIE 6BT

Guest speakers include:

  • Dan Nussey, Institute of Evolutionary Biology, University of Edinburgh

Bringing genetic and physiological evolutionary theories of ageing together

  • Luisa Pallares, Miescher labortaory of the Max Planck Society, Tübingen

Using large-scale mapping experiments to understand how environmental conditions shape the genetic basis of lifespan

Why do organisms age? Linking evolutionary theory with mechanism in C. elegans.
